Tl-takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started the engine warning indicator was intermittently illuminated. The failure recurred on several occasions until the engine warning indicator was consistently illuminated each time the vehicle was driven. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but the failure was unable to be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v313000 (air bags), however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.
