I purchased a 2008 Dodge 2500 ram 4x4 new off the floor. It now has 46,700 miles and the left upper ball joint is shot. Failed inspection. Expensive repair and part replaced. On a heavy duty truck the ball joints should not fail with less than 50,000 miles. Potential steering and safety issue - is this a trend with Dodge trucks?.
