Turn Signal Switch problems of the 2008 Dodge Ram 2500

Three problems related to turn signal switch have been reported for the 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Turn Signal Switch problem

Failure Date: 12/10/2019

Brake light and turn signals do not work even after replacing bulbs, bulb sockets and multifunction turn signal switch.

2 Turn Signal Switch problem

Failure Date: 12/19/2012

Turn signals had been operating erratically for about 10k miles. Misty day, turned wiper switch on to intermittent, nothing. Moved switch to continuous, nothing. Pushed washer button, nothing. Had 'Smart switch' changed. Wipers and washers worked immediately after delivery. Less than 1 week and less than 1,000 miles later, no wipers. Original and replacement switches were oe parts. Can live without the turn signals. Dangerous to operate in anything but sunny days without wipers and washers.

3 Turn Signal Switch problem

Failure Date: 09/02/2009

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that when he activated the right turn signal the left signal would illuminate, and when he activated the left turn signal, the right signal would activate. The dealer made two attempts to duplicate the failure by replacing the multi function switch however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The current mileage was 75,000. The approximate failure mileage was 30,000.
