Two problems related to check engine light on have been reported for the 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle stalled and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three occasions where it was diagnosed that the computer software needed to be updated. The fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 5,000.
1. Check engine light came on 4 sept 2014 brought it to dealership they cleared the code and gave me the truck back because the code did not return while it was in their possession. 2. This same issure has occured 4 more times since that date and the problem has not be resolved, each time they did something different, ie replaced a dosing unit, replaced the nox sensor and now as of 15 oct 2014 are preparing to replace the ecm or brains of the truck. The truck has been in the more than in my possession for the same exact problem since 5 sept 2014. 3. Vehicle has vibration between 60 to 80 mph, has been back to the dealership on the day I purchased and also multiple times after that, and problem still has not been corrected by ram. 3 tires have been replaced and now the service manager says "it operates as designed", although the manager also states that he feels the wobble/vibration between those speeds as well. 4. I have begun the lemon law process and have received a claim number but Chrysler has not yet called me back.
