One problem related to wrecker and wheel lift devices has been reported for the 1996 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Tow package beneath vehicle broke away, causing bolts to loosen and hitch to break away. Metal that goes to the frame was breaking away during travels over 5 year period. Not covered by manufacturer.
