One problem related to automatic transmission column shift has been reported for the 1999 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was in the park gear with the engine running when it popped out of the park into drive by itself. When this occurred vehicle went through two streets and a ditch before stopping when it collided with a tree. This failure occurred because the gear shift lever didn't lock in the park position.
