Three problems related to front suspension have been reported for the 2001 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When driving, the front end would shake and the steering wheel would make a jerking motion. Consumer had vehicle serviced at several dealerships, however the problem still exists. Mr jg.
Vehicle would wander over road, and was not controllable at any given time. Would barely turn steering, and vehicle would go 1 way. Would try to correct, would go other way. Contacted manufacturer's district manager, and been to dealership several times. Mechanic readjusted steering box and placed on laser adjuster to realign front end. Nothing else was done to vehicle to correct problem.
Vehicle wanders all over the road. Steering is unpredictable. Dealer aligned twice. No fix at this time per dealer service manager. Have to live with the problem per service manager.
