Turn Signal problems of the 2005 Dodge Ram 3500

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that when using his left turn signal it would activate the right turn signal instead and the failure also occurred when the right turn signal was used. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised him that the multi function switch failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired for the multi function switch 3 times within 18 months. After the vehicle was repaired the failure recurred a forth time. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer who stated that warranty had expired. The manufacturer was later contacted and offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

I have a 2005 Dodge ram. The turn signal started to signal opposite of the direction selected. Even though this is a common problem in this truck there is no safety recall and I had to pay $188. 00 to fix it at the dealer.

When left turn signal is selected right one will flash on occasion. This has happened several times since I have owned the truck. I have owned the truck since new and all repairs have been done by one dealership.
