The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving 70 mph, there was smoke seen from the hood area. The contact later discovered that the number 4 injector line was cracked near the engine side of the fitting, which was leaking a large amount of fuel into the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken toa dealer where it was diagnosed that the number 4 injector line needed to be replaced. The manufacture was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
