Seat Belt problem #1

While traveling on the hiway, when I'm at hiway speeds and I hit a bump in the road the entire front end of the truck shakes and bounces uncontrollably until I slow to around 50 mph. I have had ball joints, tie rods, shocks and steering stabilizer replaced, plus new tires and multiple alignments performed. My master mechanic said non of this will remedy the issue. The y type steering setup is the problem, the dealer told me it needs to be updated to the 09 steering but it's not covered under recall. Yet you can no longer even buy the y steering from the dealer the will only sell you the 09 t style. How is this ok? I do not have $265. 00 to pay for just the parts never mind labor, because the p. O. S. Transmission needed replace "$7500. 00" like every other 47re in the world. Also 3 out of my 6 seat belts no longer retract or they get stuck halfway out and it takes 10 minutes to get it to work. I would like to at least have the steering and seat belts addressed ASAP. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, na.

Seat Belt problem #2

This problem cross multiple years of the Dodge ram 2500-3500 series of pickups. The front seat belts have an overactive pre-tensioner, which if traveling on a rough, gravel, or a simple bump/crack, or even turning a corner activate and continues to tighten and restrict the driver and passenger from moving. If on a rough or gravel road, the tightness of the seatbelts get to the point of having to remove them during driving, allow them to retract, pull back out, and rebuckle, only to repeat a few minutes later. The tightness also constrains the movement of the driver meaning that he/she is to tightly locked to the seat because of the overactive pre-tensioners it makes driving the vehicle unsafe. In some cases the belts become so tight that the only option is to remove them and ride without them, which is against the law, but the only option when traveling on a rough or gravel road. These belts should not act this way, and the pre-tensioner should only activate in a forward moving sudden stop, not under normal driving conditions. I have tried to address the situation with Dodge, but without success. . Read more...

Seat Belt problem #3

The seat belt will not release. You are stuck in the seat until a screw driver or another devise is used to let you out. This has caused us to leave the seat belt latched but we are no longer secured in it. It's the law that I must wear a seat belt but I am scared no one will be around to release me from the seat belt. The front driver seat does not recline easily. If it is reclined and I want the seat to come forward it gets stuck and takes numerous tries to get it straight.
