One problem related to tire valve has been reported for the 2008 Dodge Ram 3500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Repeated failure of tire valve stems resulting in flat tires. Dealer stated that the valve stems are not sufficient quality to run the stated tire pressure of 80 pounds. They suggested running lower pressure, 60 pounds, which is not safe when towing heavy loads or to purchase and install higher quality metal valve stems. Luckily all failures have been on dually tires, however this could happen just as easily on the front tires resulting in a major accident.
