Unknown Or Other problem #1

Cracked dashboard, my concern is, if and when the airbags deploy, will brittle plastic from the cracked dashboard project into someone eyes/ face? seems that this is an issue with Dodge.

Unknown Or Other problem #2

The factory installed trailer brake controller does not work correctly. No matter how the gain is adjusted the brake controller either engages the trailer brakes to the point of lock up or the trailer brakes don't engage at all. This is very unsafe, in an emergency stop this could cause the trailer to jack knife or loss of control of the tow vehicle. I have read on many forums that this is a common issue with the factory installed brake controller. Many people report that the controller works sporadically, either the trailer brakes lock up or they don't actuate at all. The factory installed trailer brake controller needs to be investigated. This is a faulty product and is very unsafe for towing. Having your trailer brakes lock up or not come on at all is a life or death matter. I have read the owners manual and have adjusted the gain many times and it still does not work correctly. The factory installed trailer brake controller fails every time it is used.

Unknown Or Other problem #3

While driving down the road and I roll over a bump in the road, the front end shakes and wobbles violently until I slow down to almost a comlete stop for it to stop this violent action. The violent wobble has caused damage to my front left axle seal which started leaking after the violent wobble. I'm very upset and want to file a lawsuit against Chrysler Dodge for this. My truck has recently gone through the nys inspection which checks for loose and worn out steering components and everything passed the inspection.

Unknown Or Other problem #4

Dash has cracked.

Unknown Or Other problem #5

2001 Dodge Ram 3500. Unit #1 was westbound on the ohio turnpike in the driving lane. Unit #2 was eastbound on the ohio turnpike in the driving lane. Unit #1 had a right rear outside tire blowout, which caused the other dual tire to break off. The tires crossed the median and struck unit #2 in left front.

Unknown Or Other problem #6

The vents on my 2004 Dodge 3500 diesel stay on the front vents and will not change with the knob. After reading about this problem it appears to be the blend doors as well as the hvac component. There are numerous complaints on Dodge websites about this. The cost is over $600 dollars due to the labor of pulling the entire dash out of the truck and replacing the parts. The parts are around $50 dollars. They used cheap plastic that wears out.

Unknown Or Other problem #7

No physical harm was caused, but on my 2005 Dodge p/u the a/c quit blowing cold, and started making a loud rumble, after checking on the internet, I noticed 100's of people blogging about the same problem, some people say they paid to have it fixed and it re occurs, evidently the door on the ac unit is falling off blocking cold air and causing the ac not to function as well, although no bodily harm has been caused it seems like this problem occurs more then not, Dodge should be responsible.

Unknown Or Other problem #8

My 2003 Dodge 3500 trucks dash board is broken/cracked in several places. I have reported it to Dodge and they have offered to replace it with a 1000. 00 CO-pay. This is a wide spread problem and I believe dangerous as broken parts can become dis-lodged during a collision and caught by the air bags. Please keep on Dodge to do the right thing here. I would be willing to help with the costs but 1000. 00 is to much!.

Unknown Or Other problem #9

My 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 dually (diesel) truck shakes violently from 45 - 55 mph, so violently that it often takes me off the road and becomes nearly uncontrollable. I have taken it to numerous repair shops and no one can seem to find the problem. Thousands of dollars have been spent trying to fix this - I have replaced the dual stabilizer shocks, replaced ball joints, replaced traction bar, bought new tires, bought new rims, installed a new drive shaft, had the front end aligned several times, and have rotated/balanced tires 6 or 7 times. This problem started around 60,000 miles and the truck now has 100,000 miles - as you can see this problem has been ongoing for quite some time (at least a year and a half). After doing my research online I discovered that there are thousands of people who experience this exact problem with their Dodge trucks and thousands who have also filed complaints with Chrysler and ntsb. And Dodge dealerships send person after person home after reviewing their vehicles and finding no problems. These dealerships only have continued excuses for what causes the problem, ranging from "out of round" tires to poorly installed lift kits to loose bearings. I find this obsurd! how can so many vehicles have exactly the same problem with such a varying degree of causes?!? Chrysler needs to own up to their faults and issue a recall before someone is killed.

Unknown Or Other problem #10

Failed components= driver and passenger sunvisor drivers side sunvisor fails to remain in the fully upright position when passing over a bump, resulting in reduced forward visibility and distraction to driver. Subsequent failure of passenger side sunvisor results in decreased visibility to drivers right. Investigation through Dodge truck websites reveal this problem experienced by others and that Dodge redesigned the sunvisor in 2005 model year. There is no available repair, just a full replacement of sunvisors at a cost of up to $150. 00 (parts/labor) as documented on Dodge truck websites. Sunvisors on subject vehicle are now secured via safety pins and velcro strips to prevent accidental visor movement.

Unknown Or Other problem #11

Cracked dash.

Unknown Or Other problem #12

Crack in the dash of my 03 Dodge ram truck. There are two cracks one happened about 3/4 years ago and then the other about 2 years ago. The truck was purchased new in 2003. One crack is about a foot long and the other is a few inches.

Unknown Or Other problem #13

I have a black 2003 Dodge 3500 ram. The dash has cracked in 3 places over the past 3 years. I just noticed one day that there was a crack and then several months later another crack split across the dash. Now in the past year another crack has appeared. This dash is cracking and I have used a sunshield to protect it. The sunshield does not seem to help, it just cracks no matter what.

Unknown Or Other problem #14

1. Our dashboard has cracked after not using the truck for several weeks we noticed during a trip since then the crack has gotten bigger in less then 48 hours. 2. I've read that this can cause electrical issues and we have had our ac quit working for a little while since the crack was notice 3. So, far nothing has been done. I have e-mail the dealership and Dodge and so far not much is being said. I have notice that the main Dodges that are cracking are 01 but mine is newer it is an 03 I can't think what it will look like in 2 years.

Unknown Or Other problem #15

The entire dash panel started falling apart in 2006 on my 2001 Dodge ram. Parts started falling down inside the instrument panel and the dash assembly around the the passenger airbag is falling in.

Unknown Or Other problem #16

The dash has developed a crack from the passenger side defroster duct to the top of the glove compartment. This seems to be happening to a lot of Dodge ram trucks.

Unknown Or Other problem #17

The contact owns a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500. The contact stated that the dashboard has completely cracked. Dodge will not pay for the repair because the vehicle is out of warranty. Dodge is also unable to determine the cause of failure. The current mileage is 88,000 and failure mileage was 74,000.

Unknown Or Other problem #18

Bought a beautiful 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 truck in 2004, within 8 months there were several cracks all over the dashboard. The plastic was so brittle it could not be repaired and I am now looking into replacement.

Unknown Or Other problem #19

Dash board has cracked, holes, splitting. Worried that airbag could deploy noticed problem about 7 years ago -- brought to dealers attention - but told it was cosmetic -- would not do anything about. It would cost me $1500+ to replace.

Unknown Or Other problem #20

The spare tire just dropped/completely disengaged from underneath the vehicle. Consumer was on the highway when the cable broke. The cable is of insufficient strength on this model. Because this is a heavy duty truck the tires are 10 ply and the wheels heavier than on a normal 1/2 or 3/4 ton pickup.

Unknown Or Other problem #21

Dash board cracked for no apparent reason or abuse. Truck was taken to Dodge dealer under extended warranty and was told that it was not covered and that I must have done something to cause the dash to crack and break. At this point Dodge has done nothing to remedy the issue.

Unknown Or Other problem #22

I bought a 2002 Dodge 3500 brand new in 2002. 4 months later the dash cracked. I brought the truck to the dealer ship several times with my warranty and they refused to fix this issue. Since then to now we have continued to contact Chrysler corp. And the dealership with this issue to just be put off time and time again. You pay 33,000 for a truck within 4 months the dash cracks and Dodge tells you its cosmetic your bumper to bumper warranty will not cover it. I feel it is a safety issue because pieces of the dash can come loose and the dash itself is loose.

Unknown Or Other problem #23

Consumer states that recieved a recall letter, manufactures recall number #978, took to dealer and parts were not available. Please provide any further information. Ts.
