Air Bag Light On problems of the 2008 Dodge Sprinter

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Dodge Sprinter 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle was serviced at addy's harbor Dodge ram fiat (4849 us-501, myrtle beach, SC 29579, (843) 945-3100) for NHTSA campaign number: 17v478000 (air bags). Upon retrieving the vehicle, the passenger side air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact was informed by the dealer that a harness fractured during the air bag replacement, which caused the warning indicator to illuminate. The dealer also informed the contact that the part for the harness was not available; however, they disconnected the air bags and the vehicle was safe to drive. The manufacturer was notified of the failure twice and case numbers: 34674588 and 34906822 were opened. The failure mileage was 15,686.
