11 problems related to automatic transmission have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Stratus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The small pin that holds the larger pin for the spider gear assembly failed allowing the larger pin to come out of the housing and put a hole into the side of the transmission housing.
