Engine Burning Oil problems of the 1996 Dodge Stratus

1 Engine Burning Oil problem

Failure Date: 07/01/2006

My car had the head gasket replaced and a few other things on it. But I can smell burning oil from some were and the light is on for the oil. I only drive short distances because I am afraid of a fire. Not only that it well maybe only go about 2 miles before it shuts down. Then I have to wait for it to cool down to start it and get it back home.

2 Engine Burning Oil problem

Failure Date: 02/05/1999

Engine check light keeps coming on. Took to dealer & had it checked. Informed oxygen sensor was causing light to come on. Oil had started leaking out of engine. The head gaskets, which covered oxygen sensor, had burned the oil. Can smell it when vehicle was being parked. The mechanic did all the repairs to vehicle.

3 Engine Burning Oil problem

Failure Date: 01/05/1998

Head gasket failed resulting in excessive oil consumption.

4 Engine Burning Oil problem

Head gasket leaks oil, emits a burning smell from oil falling onto hot engine.
