Two problems related to tank assembly have been reported for the 1996 Dodge Stratus. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Fuel gauge does not read correctly.
When the fuel level reaches the half tank level the gauge acts as if it has an electrical short and indicates empty. The fuel gauge bottoms out and the low fuel indicator turns on. When the gas tank is full the gauge will sometimes indicate only 3/4.
