Dec. 2010 we purchased 4 bf goodrich traction t/a tires for our daughters car. We recently discovered the sidewalls of these tires were splitting. There actually was no failure of the tires but we felt the tires were defective and unsafe.

I purchased a set of four b. F. Goodrich touring t/a p195-70r14 m+s from bjs wholesale club in west hartford, connecticut on August 29, 2001. Invoice 3574172, dot bfrwb01122. All four tires have since failed, one at a time, due to inside sidewall blowout. All occurred well within their 65,000 mile tread wear warranty but the dealer said that sidewall blowout is not covered. It seems highly unlikely that all four tires in one set should experience sidewall blowout on the in side of the tire without it being a factory defect. Is there a known problem with these particular tires? is there a recall? if not, there should be.
