One problem related to tailgate has been reported for the 1996 Ford Bronco. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The welded body panels making up the tailgate are stress cracked. The exterior mounted spare tire catch is mounted on the tailgate panels and the opening and closing causes this panel to flex; hence the crack.
