Electrical System problem #1

I was idling (foot on the brake) at a coffee drive thru when I started to smell smoke and suddenly a women ran up and told me my passenger side front tire was on fire.

Electrical System problem #2

I am writing regarding my new Ford Bronco vehicle, VIN: [xxx] , purchased in November 2024, currently with 7,151. 5 km. I recently received Ford’s official notice advising that the engine block heater in this vehicle may develop a coolant leak which could result in an electrical short circuit when the system is plugged in. This is a serious manufacturing and safety defect that existed at the time of sale. Due to the nature of this hazard, I am not operating the vehicle, as it has been placed it on storage insurance. The vehicle has not been driven since receiving Ford’s notice in order to mitigate risk and prevent potential damage or injury. Under manitoba’s consumer protection act and the sale of goods act, a new vehicle must be of acceptable quality, safe, durable, and fit for its ordinary purpose. A vehicle delivered with an admitted safety defect fails to meet these legal requirements. Accordingly, I am formally exercising my right to rescind the sales contract and cancel the related financing agreement. I am kindly requesting a full buy-back, including refund of all payments made to date, payoff of the remaining loan balance by Ford or the dealer, and the cancellation of the financing agreement with no negative credit impact. I would appreciate a written response from you within five (5) business days so that we may proceed toward a timely and appropriate resolution. Sincerely, [xxx] information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Electrical System problem #3

Vehicle sustained significant front-end impact in a collision, but none of the airbags deployed. Front bumper, hood, and frame sustained visible damage. Concern that sensors or airbag system failed to activate during qualifying crash.

Electrical System problem #4

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that while driving and coming to a stop, the engine auto start-stop system failed to engage, and the engine revved significantly, causing the vehicle to move forward unintendedly. The contact stated that the failure persisted while standing on the brake pedal, requiring the contact to shift to neutral(n) or to park(p) to stop the engine. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on two occasions. The contact stated that the vehicle nearly moved into oncoming traffic on the first occasion and the vehicle nearly crashed into the rear of another vehicle on the second occasion. The failure also required the contact to steer the vehicle away from another vehicle or to shut off the engine to avoid a crash. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the failure might be related to a low battery. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 6,000.

Electrical System problem #5

Tail lights sensors / control are defective in some way. To be clear the tail lights at the rear of the vechile work perfectly fine and are very bright. They light up during lock and unlock. Also if you set headlight to on when parked. Also note brake lights still work in all situations. However. When they are set to auto at times they don’t light at all even at night. Also if in auto every time when you shift into reverse or drive they also go out. Took video of this issue after two dealer visits they said they were unable to replicate. They are suppose to replace the vechile control unit next week. I have my doubts that’s the issue. I’m willing to wager it’s the body control unit that’s the issue which my vechile doesn’t have for some reason because it wasn’t equipped with the tow package.

Electrical System problem #6

While vehicle was on a boat ramp the vehicle”s gear shift was put into the park position. The vehicle’s park gear failed to engage and it continued to roll backwards. Additional attempts to then put the vehicle into drive also failed to respond. My brand new 2024 Ford Bronco that only had just over 2300 miles on it, continued to roll backwards until it was completely submerged underwater. The vehicle had to be pulled out of the water by another truck!!! with my wife and children watching I was fortunate enough to escape without drowning!!!!.

Electrical System problem #7

Lane keeping assistance not updated to match roads and ran me off highway.

Electrical System problem #8

Driving at 65 mph on an interstate highway the infotainment console suddenly shut down and then the entire vehicle lost acceleration and came to quick slow crawl. There was no braking, accelerating or changing 2wd/4wd modes before this happened. This posed a safety hazard to driver behind me as I did not have time to apply the brake pedal, not sure if the brake lights would have worked anyways in afterthought. There were no warning lamps, messages or any other symptoms of the problem prior to failure. It just instantly happened. The vehicle was driven with the slow crawl off the interstate to the nearest parking lot. The dealer was notified by phone immediately with no remediation. The vehicle was shut down completely and restarted after a few minutes. The infotainment console slowly turned on. This is the second time this has happened. The vehicle has been to the dealer's service center for both incidents. The dealer stated the 1st time it may be a bad battery but not sure. The 2nd time they did not see any error codes on their reader, and they left it at that. They could not replicate the safety hazard. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or insurance representative. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request.

Electrical System problem #9

Error with stabiltiy bar do not drive over 20 mph. No keys detected in vehicle. Vehicle is now back at the dealer for the 4th time for the same repair.

Electrical System problem #10

Older car models without lane assistance are swerving into my lane everytime I get near them.

Electrical System problem #11

On Monday Jan 27 2025 I took my 2024 Ford Bronco in for routine maintenance and check up. Upon completion of these services my 2024 Ford Bronco was in terrific condition. Everything came back great they even coded it and it was good. By Wednesday [xxx] at [xxx] there was an issue with the Bronco it wouldn't detect the key fob it said no key detected on the dashboard. So I got my second key fob and it also wasn't detected so then went to get new batteries for the key fob the car was not drivable at that time switched batteries twice still no detection. Called service at rivertown Ford to get assistance service person came to us because there was nowhere we could find the emergency fail safe that all the Bronco of this year has since it's a push start button to start car. He did find the fail safe in the center console under the carpet and able to start car from there. Gary the service person told me it safe to drive back to rivertown service so they can find out what going on. Once in the service it was stated that it is radio transimission control module radio frequency failure. That it was ok to drive till they got part in. Didn't get half way home when a warning light came on that the tire pressure sensor failed so I took Bronco back immediately agian gary service person told me it was safe to drive till they get the part ordered and in to service the Bronco. I called Ford corporation reported this issue with them tei is the agent I spoke to from Ford corp. Case number is [xxx]. My concern is I have had plenty of vehicles in my lifetime and these services and mechanics tell you anything at times to justify the means a new car. I need to know it's safe to drive and if there is issues someone gonna pay attention take it seriously and fix it. There was no warning that fob was bad other than the no key detected and then later tire pressure sensor failure did come on. If this car is unsafe to drive or more of internal electric issue is coming address it information redacted pursuant to the freedom of informati.

Electrical System problem #12

The contact owns a 2024 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that after parking and turning off the vehicle, the "steering assist fault, service required" message displayed. The message disappeared after restarting the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The failure recurred while pressing the auto start/stop button without depressing the brake pedal. The engine revved abnormally loud while the vehicle was parked. The messages "steering assist fault, service required", "pre-collision assist not available," and "service advancetrac" were displayed. The abs and battery warning lights were illuminated. The engine then inadvertently turned off, and the radio switched on and off. Roadside assistance arrived on scene and the contact stated that when the tow truck driver started the vehicle, the messages and warning lights were no longer illuminated or displayed. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer, but the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure for the second time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 9,929.

Electrical System problem #13

I have the following problems. 1. The lane keep sometimes jerks the wheel out of my hand while going around a corner. One time it made me drive off in a ditch. 2. The windows get stuck and won't completely role up. My car sometimes smells like plastic is burning 3. When I have the heat just on my feat it blows out of the defrost and not on my feet. I don't have defrost on just feet only.

Electrical System problem #14

The following systems and features have been repeatedly failing in my vehicle, posing a safety hazard: 1) the side view mirrors change orientation automatically while driving. 2) the blind spot warning is inconsistent and is not trustworthy. 3) the infotainment display turns off erratically while crossing critical intersections where I am supposed to turn. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe safety risk. 4) the infotainment system’s audio volume, audio source and car play connection turns off randomly. This is extremely distracting and poses a severe accident risk. 5) the air conditioning strength and temperature changes automatically with the fan blowing extremely cold or extremely hot air. 6) the windshield wiper automatic speeds are mis-calibrated and gradation between the various levels is non-linear and erratic. This forces the driver to frequently adjust the wiper speed while driving, posing a distraction and accident risk. 7) the automatic high beam feature doesn’t work, or works erratically. This ambiguity causes distraction and dangerous night time driving situations. 8) with manual operation of high and low beams, there is a significant delay while switching from one to another, posing risk while night time driving. 9) the windshield cleaning feature with dispersal of the fluid works erratically. It works some of the time and doesn’t work other times. This ambiguity poses a severe risk while driving due to unclear windshield. 10) the tire pressure sensor displays inaccurate inflation pressure at times. This ambiguity can be catastrophic given the vehicle size and California’s mountain road driving under slick and snowy conditions. 11) the gps directions displayed on phone and infotainment system are inaccurate and inconsistent, causing massive confusion while exiting. This is a new vehicle from 2024 and has been inspected and serviced at the dealership diligently. I have video evidence for some of the problems.

Electrical System problem #15

Since I purchased my vehicle I noticed that the left blinker would turn on sometimes when I put my right blinker on and made a right turn. Usually when you use your right blinker and make a right hand turn, as soon as your vehicle straightens out the blinker should then go off. Instead, this triggers the left blinker to turn on by itself. I am very concerned for my safety and my children's safety as others my think I am turning and I am not. I actually just got off the phone with the department and also got your email address, and will also email my concerns as well. This has been "attempted" to be fixed by Ford, and has been unsucessful. They currently do not have a "fix" for this safety problem. I purchased the Bronco in July 2024 and has 10k miles on it.
