3 Seat Belt problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 06/03/2025

We have 3 diono 3qxt car seats in our 2023 Bronco back seat. I noticed today that two of the car seat's vehicle seatbelts were unlatched. The middle car seat and the passenger-side car seat were loose because the securing seatbelt in the Bronco was unlatched. My concern is that one of the car seats activated the seat belt release button in the Bronco. I will monitor my car seats to see if the issue occurs again, but I thought it was important enough to report, in case there are any other similar complaints regarding either the diono car seat or the Ford Bronco's rear seatbelts.

5 Seat Belt problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/19/2025

After avis Ford replaced my seatbelt on the driver’s side, my vehicle began to rattle from underneath the same area and in the front. The seatbelt side was serviced twice, and now the car feels unsafe. The dealership refused to re-inspect and told me to fix it out of pocket. I’m concerned this may be a structural or safety-related defect caused by improper repair.

6 Seat Belt problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 01/03/2025

The seat belt stem on the buckle receiver has corroded and snapped. This is on the black diamond trim package with marine grade upholstered seats, weatherproof electrical switches and buttons in the interior and drain plugs on the floor boards from factory. The metal stem of the seat belt receiver is bolted to the body of the truck, encased in rubber and has corroded and snapped in half. Ford motor CO. Has denied the bumper to bumper warranty on this part, stating that moisture exposure is evident . This is the vehicle that is marketed and intended to be hosed out with water to clean after off-roading . This is the same Bronco model that is pictured in advertisements with no doors or roofs installed visiting beaches, driving through rivers and climbing mountains it is obvious that the seat belt components have not been treated or coated with any enamel or coatings. From factory all seatbelt components are bare clean steel.

11 Seat Belt problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/10/2023

I ask that Ford be immediately compelled to issue guidance o confirming completion of manufacturer recall number: 23c16 / NHTSA recall number: 23v358 for vehicles produced but held by dealers pending completion of this recall. Nearly three years ago I reserved a 2021 Bronco from Ford, after multiple model year changes and re-orders, I am still without the vehicle I eagerly anticipated. Despite this, I have been patient. My vehicle finally entered production on 4/26/23 and sat in this status until 6/27/23. Miraculously, after entering a built status on 6/29/23, it was delivered to the dealer on 7/9/23. I thought my wait was over. Sadly this was not the case, as a recall requiring two inexpensive plastic clips be installed on the rear seatbelts, originally announced in may was finally issued six weeks later on July 5th. Despite the fact that this recall did not affect vehicles built after may 9th, and it appears my Bronco was shipped with the recall being completed, but not marked as such in oasis by the factory. This would seem to be a swift matter for the dealer to address, however, it has come to my attention that Ford may be unable to supply a relatively simple fix to dealers until q4 and has not yet formalized a remedy to be implement at the dealer level depsite having implemented the correction at the factory, and this delay has put me in an untenable situation. On July 10th, I completed all purchase paperwork, and made payment in full. My vehicle is registered and insured in my name. The fix, as evidenced by the attached photos, was implemented at the factory. Despite this, my VIN is subject to a stop sale with no time horizon on correction of this bureaucratic oversight. Ford and NHTSA must take action now to permit me to take possession of a vehicle that meets all safety requirements and is currently losing value while sitting on a lot.

15 Seat Belt problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 01/13/2023

My toddler in his car seat while we were driving, reached over and grab the seatbelt that was closest to his car seat with his hand. As we were driving, he pulled the seatbelt as far out as he could, so that the locking mechanism was activated. After he pulled the seatbelt all the way out, he had wrapped around his neck and let go of it, and the seatbelt ended up tightening around his neck. Luckily, he was able to tell me what happened and I was able to pull off and grab the seatbelt and keep tension on it so it wouldn’t get any tighter around his neck. We had to call the fire department to cut the seatbelt off because the seatbelt was locked and getting tighter and we could not get it off his neck neck. As I called 911 I had to hold the seatbelt away from his neck from getting tighter, when the fire department got there their only option was to cut the seatbelt strap in order to remove it from his neck. Thankfully, quick thinking and holding the seatbelt away from his neck allowed me to be on the phone with 911 and when they got here allowed me to hold it away from his neck to keep it from choking him and potentially him turning blue from no oxygen. The seatbelt strap did leave a red mark on his neck from being wrapped around.

17 Seat Belt problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/15/2022

On delivery at ramp Ford of my my 22 Bronco I inspected the accessories bags for roof and door storage" on board" bags and retention safety harness on April 15,2022 at 3:15pm. I found the two targa roof bags (option $699) on board, however no safety retention harness was on board at delivery. Call dealer next day for safety harness and her said "on board door bags" were deleted as a dealer installed option, but nothing about the safety harness at all. Ford had marketing over wranger, in that you could take all four doors off leaving external mirrors on and store then (4 doors/ on 4 dr Bronco) and safely drive at highway speeds with the four doors in the cargo area designed to store frameless window doors safely( page 362-4 owners manual) but failed to provide at time of delivery these" seat bekts" for heavy doors "on board"!.
