Wheel Problems of Ford Bronco

I own a 2022 Ford Bronco. My vehicle has an electronic brake booster failure that causes multiple warning messages, brake system faults, and loss or reduction of brake assist. When this happens, the vehicle also prevents the 4-wheel drive system from engaging or switching modes. This is especially dangerous during winter conditions. When driving in snow or slippery conditions, I am unable to engage 4wd when it is needed most, while also experiencing brake system warnings. The vehicle becomes difficult to control and does not feel safe to drive. The dealership confirmed this is a known issue affecting multiple Ford Broncos and that the electronic brake booster part is currently back-ordered and unavailable. I was told many vehicles are affected, yet there is no recall for the 2022 model year, even though newer model years have a recall for the same component. This issue creates a serious safety risk due to impaired braking performance and inability to use 4-wheel drive in hazardous conditions. The vehicle had to be parked due to safety concerns. And the he issue happens intermittently, making it unpredictable.

On Monday Jan 27 2025 I took my 2024 Ford Bronco in for routine maintenance and check up. Upon completion of these services my 2024 Ford Bronco was in terrific condition. Everything came back great they even coded it and it was good. By Wednesday [xxx] at [xxx] there was an issue with the Bronco it wouldn't detect the key fob it said no key detected on the dashboard. So I got my second key fob and it also wasn't detected so then went to get new batteries for the key fob the car was not drivable at that time switched batteries twice still no detection. Called service at rivertown Ford to get assistance service person came to us because there was nowhere we could find the emergency fail safe that all the Bronco of this year has since it's a push start button to start car. He did find the fail safe in the center console under the carpet and able to start car from there. Gary the service person told me it safe to drive back to rivertown service so they can find out what going on. Once in the service it was stated that it is radio transimission control module radio frequency failure. That it was ok to drive till they got part in. Didn't get half way home when a warning light came on that the tire pressure sensor failed so I took Bronco back immediately agian gary service person told me it was safe to drive till they get the part ordered and in to service the Bronco. I called Ford corporation reported this issue with them tei is the agent I spoke to from Ford corp. Case number is [xxx]. My concern is I have had plenty of vehicles in my lifetime and these services and mechanics tell you anything at times to justify the means a new car. I need to know it's safe to drive and if there is issues someone gonna pay attention take it seriously and fix it. There was no warning that fob was bad other than the no key detected and then later tire pressure sensor failure did come on. We installed new tires and wheels on our vehicle and it immediately started having engine problems and the check engine light comes on. We took it to the dealer and after several days back and forth Ford told the deal that it's a known problem with the 2. 3l version of the Ford Bronco however they had no fix and no timeline to fix the problem. This creates a safety hazard as the engine program can't be updated and could cause damage to the engine and cause it to fail. The dealer then stated that they could not return the vehicle to us with the new tires and wheels we purchased and we had to put our old tires and wheels on. We counted on the old tires for a spare since we already blew one tire out. So in addition to a safety hazard we are currently out $2,500 we spent on new tires and wheels, and now have to purchase another tire of the exact same original size to have a spare, costing us another $300.

The vehicle was purchased new on 03/23/23. Yesterday, I began to notice a vibration at low speeds when not applying the brake or gas. Today (03/29), 6 days after purchase, as I’m taking it back to the dealership and while in heavy traffic on I-10, the entire rear drivers side wheel separates from the car. All six lug studs had been completely sheared. My concern is that the studs may not be sufficient for the larger 35” tires that come standard on the wildtrak series of the Bronco. If they are proven to be sufficient then I’d like to figure out why this occurred as this situation could have ended tragically for not only me but also for other drivers around me. Unfortunately, as of this time, neither the dealer nor Ford have been much help.

I am filing a complaint because as I was driving my new 2022 Ford Bronco big bend the front passenger wheel popped off. There was no previous warning signs to let me know something was wrong. It seems as though the bolts/ lug nuts just snapped as I was driving. The tire popped off rolled back hit the car causing it to bounce and then fall and drag for a bit before I was able to come to a full stop while the wheel rolled down the street. This caused a lot of damage to the car from body to suspension. Luckily I was traveling at low speeds so I was not injured and luckily no one else was near to be injured by the run away wheel. I had the car towed to autonation Ford in katy where they and insurance representatives inspected it. Autonation has had the car for over a month and they still have not fully repaired the vehicle. I do not fully understand what went wrong.
