1 Wiper problem of the 2024 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 09/01/2025

Went out to start the vehicle one afternoon to notice a crack from the outside passenger edge by the frame. Nothing hit the windshield and just a single line of crack spread from one side of the windshield straight across took to Ford to be told that while they couldn't see an impact they wouldn't cover it under warranty be cause they couldn't prove it was their fault.

2 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/29/2025

While driving home in the evening I drove through a swarm of insects. I pushed the button to spray washer fluid and engage the wipers to clear the windshield. No fluid came out and the windshield became smeared there by obscuring visibility. I thought that odd as I always top off windshield washer fluid on all my vehicles as part of routine maintenance. When I arrived home I put approximately 1 gallon of fluid into the washer reservoir which quickly emptied onto the fender liner and the ground. Apparently there is a known defect with the washer fluid reservoir that causes it to split along the seam and empty its contents. I believe this could be a safety issue due to the flat upright design of the Bronco windshield making it a bug splat magnet and not being able to clear visibility. The Bronco is also marketed as an off-road vehicle and the windshield could be covered in mud or dust. There is no warning lamp for low washer fluid.

3 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 02/28/2025

Rear window defogger electrical connection broke off leaving a connector and wire hanging. This could cause an accident from running over someone or something, since you can't see out of a fogged up window.

4 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 01/20/2025

There is a bulletin that Ford sent out that includes wipers intermittently not working properly when detecting rain. The issue happens when the normal steady wiper speed is selected and the issue isn’t resolved until the wipers are turned off and on again then the issue persists. Ford will not cover this issue even with a bulletin for a car 2,000 miles over their warranty. Further more Fords extended warranty they offer at their dealerships will not cover this issue as well even though it extends the manufacturer warranty. This is a safety issue while driving in the rain.

5 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 09/24/2024

I was sitting in my car and the back wind shield exploded over my dog and I. Ford was made aware of the issue, and apparently the Bronco's rods hyper extend and cause the tempered glass to break. Ford wont cover any damages done, and says it isn't covered by warranty. Although the dealership and Ford acknowledge no pressure was existenet to cause the window to burst randomly. In addition, Ford is aware the plastic placer screws in the removable hardtop is defective and cracks over time. However, they are not warrantying this repair.

6 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/31/2024

While 400 miles from home on vacation, driving in rain, the windshield wipers quit working. As rain picked up from a sprinkle to a more steady rain, I increased the wiper speed. After adjusting a time or two to match the rain coming down, the wipers stopped in the up position. When I change the speeds on the wiper control nothing happens, and it also will not spray washer fluid for the front windshield. The rear wiper and fluid spray work as expected. I checked the fuse identified in the manual, and it looks good. I even swapped the fuse with the rear wiper fuse, and the front ones still do not work. The two dealerships in the area are not able to do much, so I'm facing a 6. 5 hour drive home with rain in the forecast and no working windshield wipers on a 1. 5 year old vehicle.

7 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/08/2024

Ford Bronco windshield washer reservoir will no longer hold fluids. Multiple attempts to refill lead to the reservoir being empty. This is problematic as the windshield cannot be cleaned while driving the vehicle. Finally got an appointment with a Ford dealer to be told that the washer reservoir needs to be replaced, that they know these crack and fail, and that I was 9 days out of warranty. Dealership also stated there was a long backlog to get a replacement washer reservoirs (3-4 weeks minimum). There is no way that the reservoir could have been damaged by us (the owner) - it is nestled between the exterior and interior of the front quarter panel and inaccessible unless the exterior quarter panel is removed. This appears to be a well-known issue with Bronco owners as many forums (easily found in internet searches) have numerous complaints and discussions about the leaking washer fluid reservoirs.

8 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 02/12/2024

While driving on interstates 99 and interstate 80 eastbound on 212/2024 I encountered a snowstorm with my 2022 Ford Bronco wildtrak and as I was driving I was unable to see after a few minutes in the snowstorm because my headlights were covered with snow I couldn't easily pull off on the side of the road on the highway due to all of the truck and vehicle traffic so I had to attempt to drive unsafe behind a tractor trailer until I can get to an exit to wipe the headlights off this is the second time this has happened to me as the Ford dealer said basically the led headlights do not generate heat so you should expect to have this with every snowstorm as long as you own the vehicle I found it to be very unsafe as I had my wife and daughter in the car with me and I had to pull over approximately every three miles due to the headlights being iced over and not even ice just snow and like it was a wet heavy snow.

9 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 01/08/2024

Led headlights on new 21+Ford Bronco do not have enough heat to melt snow or ice that builds up on the headlights while traveling. There are thousands of posts online from different drivers confirming this issue with winter weather. The headlights become clogged with snow and visibility at night is reduced to an unsafe amount. The headlights will have to be cleared manually, resulting in additional unsafe situations, and get filled back up again in under 10 min. This has not been inspected by the manufacture for my vehicle - but should be recalled and replaced with heated headlamps of some sort. The problem can be reproduced any time by anyone driving a Bronco in freezing rain or snow. I have attached photos of other Broncos with this exact issue.

10 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 12/03/2023

While driving at multiple different speeds in the rain and snow, the wiper blades on the vehicle slow down on their own to an intermittent speed without driver input. This slowing of the wiper blades causes the driver to lose visibility while driving, creating a safety hazard on the road. This issue has occurred numerous times when the wiper blades are set to the highest speed. After about one minute, the wiper blades start to slow down and eventually reach a stop/start speed where the blades only wipe every 5-10 seconds. To remedy this, the driver has to turn the wiper blades off and turn them back on again to get the wiper blades going again at the higher rate of speed. However, this only lasts for a short period of time (about one minute) and then the wiper blades slow down again on their own. The driver has to keep repeating this to be able to maintain visibility while driving in rain and snow conditions. This causes the driver to have to take a hand off of the steering wheel in inclement weather to keep adjusting the wiper blade speed. This issue has not yet been taken to a dealership for inspection, but this issue has been referenced in several online forums for this particular vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages that appeared on the vehicle. In fact, in online forums, other Bronco customers have stated that Ford says this is how the wipers are supposed to operate.

11 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 12/01/2023

My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on high (or even low), they automatically switch to intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from low to high to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield during heavy rain. After reading the manual it appears this is a "feature" of the new Ford Bronco. This is a major safety issue and Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles.

12 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 11/25/2023

Drivers side front door window vibrates and shakes significantly when in the open half-way position or less. When driving over bumps, rough roads, offroad it is very present. Window has to remain closed or fully open position. Hall Ford dealer in elizabeth city nc has been aware and confirmed it's an issue but they don't have a fix for it.

13 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 11/21/2023

Windshield wiper speeds are extremely slow. And at times quit working.

14 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 10/03/2023

I drive a 2022 Ford Bronco and I now have had to replace my windshield for a third time in 5 months from just a tiny rock hitting it. This most recent time on January 22, 2024 was a tiny rock that hit on my windshield on the lower left side of the drivers view. It made contact on the brow or bottom part of the windshield and the following morning it had grown vertically 3 inches. I went to drive to the grocery store and it was raining. The crack then grew as I was driving horizontally across the entire windshield almost reach the other edge on the passenger side of it. I do believe it’s the more straight angle of the windshield that makes it take direct impact so I am proposing Ford go to a strong gorilla glass for its windshields like Jeep did. I’ve heard from a few Bronco owners and Ford employees this has been an issue. Can you please look into this as I don’t think Ford Bronco owners should be punished with constant windshield repairs.

15 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 09/09/2023

My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on high (or even low), they automatically switch to intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from low to high to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see through the windshield during heavy rain. I have spoken to many Bronco owners and seen a thread on online message boards that everyone has the same issue. After reading the manual it appears this is a "feature" of the new Ford Bronco. This is a significant safety issue and Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles. The problem happens on all of the model years - 2021 - 2023.

16 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 08/25/2023

The wipers are slowing during use. Seems like a intermittent weak motor.

17 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 08/01/2023

The rear hardtop panel on my 2022 Ford Bronco has developed serious cracking and surface separation after only three years of light, garage-kept use. The fiberglass is fracturing near the seams, exposing the underlying material. Water is now visibly collecting in the openings, which will lead to internal moisture intrusion, mold, and eventually corrosion of structural components underneath the hardtop mounting area. This poses a serious long-term safety concern, especially in the event of rear impacts or rollover situations. A Ford dealer inspected the issue and submitted a warranty claim, which was denied. The Ford representative acknowledged the damage but said they could not act without a recall or broader investigation. No warning lights or messages appeared; the issue is external and has progressed gradually. The damage began well before my bumper-to-bumper coverage expired, but has recently worsened. Ford’s own general service bulletin gsb 23-7174 lists rear hardtop panel cracking and edge delamination as warrantable conditions. My panel clearly fits those descriptions. Still, I was quoted nearly $10,000 for a full replacement, which is unreasonable. This is not an isolated case. Many 2021–2022 Bronco owners have posted identical problems online. Ford is clearly aware of this issue—which is why they issued that bulletin—but is denying claims unless pressured through complaints. I believe this is a materials or manufacturing defect and ask NHTSA to investigate this clear and ongoing failure.

18 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/13/2023

The wiper will work for about 20 minutes. The slow to a very slow intermittent wipe no matter the rain amount. Once this has started you can adjust the speed of the wiper and it will work for about 30 seconds the fall back into the slow intermittent wipe. I took it to the dealer, and they said the wipers were working normally, even though I have a video of the issue happening. There are no indications of a malfunction on the dashboard.

19 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 07/11/2023

The windshield was faulty upon delivery of our new 2 door Ford Bronco. Every time it rains, water pours inside the vehicle through the gaps in the windshield sealant. The water flows through the passenger side a-pillar, and comes out of the airbags, as well as the defrost vents, then flowing down the side of the dashboard, and landing on the front passenger floorboard. The service department had to replace the entire front passenger side a-pillar during our most recent visit. The windshield is a major structural component of a vehicle, and our dealership service department confirmed that our faulty windshield puts our safety and the safety of our passengers in danger of experiencing serious injury when the windshield sealant completely fails. We have been to the dealership twice for the water intrusion caused by the faulty windshield. The Ford service department staff said Ford has previously issued a recall for this exact issue, but the recall is not for our specific model, so the Ford service department was not able to replace our faulty windshield under warranty. The inability of the dealership to replace our faulty windshield under warranty forced us to make an insurance claim and replace the windshield on our own. Upon installing the new oem windshield, the technician pointed out to us in person where the faulty windshield issue stemmed from. It is obviously clear that Ford never tested our vehicle's windshield sealant gaps before they shipped it out for delivery. If they did not test our windshield structure, there could be many other 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door models delivered with faulty windshields. Note: we have never taken our vehicle to any kind of car wash, as the owner's manual is very clear about avoiding these. We have also never removed any of the roof panels. Process of elimination removes both of these situations as secondary causes for water intrusion.

20 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 06/17/2023

While driving on a highway at +70 mph, the rear window shattered inward, with such force that it sounded like a shotgun had discharged. I did not stop, because literally thought I may have been shot at. The window shattered with such force that the plastic molding around the rear speakers were sliced by the glass. Thank goodness no one was in the back seat, my wife and I were both covered in glass fragments, including small shards of glass. The Ford dealership stated the glass must have been faulty.

21 Wiper problem of the 2021 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 06/14/2023

Windshield wipers are very slow when set to high speed. On the highest setting they are going the same speed as other vehicles low speed setting. During heavier rain visibility is near zero in the Bronco when it wouldn’t be in other vehicles.

22 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 06/08/2023

When driving in heavy rain and you put the wipers on high (or even low), they automatically switch to intermittent after about 1 minute. In order to keep the wipers going in heavy, blinding rain you have to keep switching the wipers from low to high to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield during heavy rain. Our Bronco is currently at the dealership being serviced. We were blinded in the rain storm traveling on the interstate. This is a very serious issue that needs to be resolved before someone is killed!!.

23 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/17/2023

While wipers are in full-time mode, they will occasionally switch to intermittent mode even though rain continues to accumulate on the windshield. This forces me to take my left hand off the steering wheel to 'reset' the wiper system while driving with limited windshield visibility. Taking my hand off the wheel during a downpour is unsafe and should be the last thing I need to be concerned about. My vehicle is available for inspection. Dealership replicated the fault on similar Broncos and said it was 'normal operations'. They claim that the wipers go into intermittent mode so the wipers motor doesn't overheat. However, there is plenty of rain on the windshield when I've experienced the transition to intermittent mode. No warning lamps, messages lit up during this failure. I have a video available that documents this issue.

24 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/15/2023

My 2023 Ford Bronco has "advanced" rain-sensing wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. 25 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/14/2023

Wipers do not maintain constant speed. They slow down in dangerous situations when I need them to wipe continuously. They skip and slower speeds had happened every time it rains.

26 Wiper problem of the 2022 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/02/2023

During wiper operation in the low speed setting, after approximately 40-50 seconds of operation the wipers sometimes reduce in speed to a slow intermittent setting and stay that way until the wiper is turned to a new setting. This happens even in heavy rain, which can result in a significant safety hazard.

27 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 05/01/2023

When driving in heavy rain/sleet and you put the wipers on high (or even low), they automatically switch to intermittent after about 1 minute. They actually stop wiping at a high speed and pause between wipes for several seconds. In order to keep the wipers going you have to keep switching the wipers from low to high to keep them moving. This is a safety hazard since you honestly cannot see though the windshield. This is a major safety issue, and makes driving in bad weather even more hazardous. Ford should be required to fix the wiper motor on these vehicles.

28 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/23/2023

The intermittent wiper feature stops. Even when I turn the wiper control to “on low speed setting” (not intermittent or rain sensing) the wipers stop after a short time then resume as it they are on an intermittent setting. This occurs in light rain, drizzle, and heavy downpours. I can get the wipers to resume if I turn the wiper control knob. Then in a minute or two they stop again.

29 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/17/2023

When driving in rain & snow (both heavy and light), the wipers slow down on their own while I was driving on the freeway from full wiping speed to intermittent wiping once every 5-7 seconds. I kept having to toggle from fast to slow to fast again just to see. It scared me so much the first time it happened. Thank goodness I have only experienced this weather during the daytime. The temperatures were near, or below freezing, which should've helped keep the motors cool. The windshield was not dry, at all. There was little to no debris or sleet build-up on the windshield or blades, impeding the blades. Other Bronco owners that have reported it to Ford were told "this is normal" per multiple online reviews. How can impeded vision due to erratic wiper blades be normal??!! there were no warning lamps or messages indicating why it is happening. It just happens.

30 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/14/2023

Wipers go to an intermittent state while in the constant wipe positions. Both low and high speed.

31 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/08/2023

My 2023 Ford Bronco has these "advanced" wipers that automatically stop wiping when they think the windshield is dry or think the wiper motor may be damaged. 32 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/07/2023

Windshield wipers when set to full on, either slow or fast, will slow down on their own in moderate and heavy rain. This leads to poor visibility. The wipers sometimes stop all together. I constantly have to adjust the wiper control to another setting to get the wipers going at a usable speed.

33 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/07/2023

Resistance sensing wiper motor does not operate as advertised. The motor is designed to automatically slow if the windshield is dry or obstructed in order to keep the motor from overheating. However, regardless of windshield condition or setting the wipers begin slowing to the lowest setting after approximately 45 seconds. This creates an extremely dangerous condition during moderate to heavy rain as it leaves the driver with extremely poor visibility during critical driving conditions. The only way to speed up the wipers is to again cycle the switch which results in another 45 seconds of high speed operation. Again, this creates a dangerous situation by requiring the driver to repeatedly remove hands from the wheel during heavy precipitation. If left un-corrected this malfunction will most certainly be causal in injurious or fatal accidents.

34 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/03/2023

First time driving the vehicle in the rain at 55mph the wiper motor was turned on to high continuous during heavy down pour. After about 30 seconds the wipers just quit and started wiping on the lowest intermittent setting. Rain was hard enough I couldn’t see the road lines without the wipers and ran off the road. Had to greatly slow down 30mph to see clear enough to move forward while having other cars pass me and about cause another accident. I was able to find a spot to pull off the road and wait on the rain to stop. Called the dealer and they looked at it and said it was the rain sensing wipers and everything was working like it should. Broncos do not come with rain sensing wipers at all. Got a video of the issue and sent it to the dealer and they said same thing again. They don’t know what the problem is or how to fix it and that the wipers are working as is. This problem happens every time it rains and every time the wipers are put into either high or low continuous mode at 55mph. I have videos and service records I can provide if needed.

35 Wiper problem of the 2023 Ford Bronco

Failure Date: 04/03/2023

While driving in a rain/sleet storm with my windshield wiper set to the normal (slow) speed, they suddenly stopped but then resumed in an intermittent fashion. They then continued to slow down making visibility nearly impossible. I could not see other roadway users nor signage. The only remedy at the time was to to toggle them off and back on again. I did this for nearly two hours, which was a considerable distraction. I have not used the vehicle in inclement weather since then and it has not been diagnosed by my dealer. The vehicle instrument panel made no warnings or messages while this happened.
