The contact owns a 2013ford C-max energy. The contact stated that while driving her vehicle at various speeds, the vehicle would warn her to stop safely. The contact stated that the vehicle would slow down rapidly on its own and then shut off completely. The contact stated that the failure occurs , what seems to be every 6 months. The contact stated that when the failure occurs ,she would to pull over and restart her vehicle after a few minutes before she begins driving again. The contact took her vehicle to the dealer who advised her that since they could not replicate the failure , they would not be able to diagnose the failure. The contact stated that she then contacted the manufacturer who advised her to contact NHTSA . The failure mileage was 121,000.
