The consumer was concerned about the gas tank shield being installed in police vehicles and not regular consumer vehicles. The fuel tank shield was installed at the consumer's expense.
The vehicle fuel tank has a fuel leak. Consumer states after filling tank with fuel, all the fuel leaked back out of the tank. Please provide more details. Ts.
This vehicle is equipped with the same fuel tank which has been recalled for police vehicles only. The consumer believes all Crown Victoria's should be recalled, not just the police fleets.
We are concerned to drive our crown vic because of the alleged fuel tank problems. We live in phoenix, az, and in the past three years four police officers have been either killed or severly injured due to collisions that resulted in the fuel tank catching fire. We would like to know what Ford motor CO. Plans to do about this. Is our crown vic safe to drive? if not, what do we need to do? if we retrofit the gas tank right now, we will void our warrenty. We are in a quandry as to what to do.
