Safety recall 19s35b processor lighting cont was done on 3/22/2021on my working part. The original module was working fine. Now the new light module is faulty. Dealership took out part and tested it. Determined that is was faulty causing my lights to fail. Dealership and Ford has denied covering a replacement of the failed part. It would seem that the part should be still covered since it is a part that was part of a recall.
My headlights goes off while I'm driving and clicks off and clicks back on and sometimes when I turned on my signal switch on they will click back on or click off or I just have to wait for them to come back on but I can hear when it clicks and my headlights comes back on.
The contact owns a 2005 Ford Crown Victoria. The contact stated that there was a progressing electrical short and failure with the head lamps. For months, the dealer stated that the remedy and parts were unavailable and a repair appointment could not be scheduled. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was waiting on a response from the dealer and the manufacturer to determine an interim repair for NHTSA campaign number: 15v861000 (exterior lighting). The failure mileage was not available. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Air bag light comes on everytime car is started flashes 3 then 4 then stays on constantly do not feel safe and my car isn't the first to have this problem Ford needs to step it up and put out a recall.
Recent article in paper indicates that high humidity states, such as florida could have a air bag problem on several models and makes of automobiles, affecting the deployment of air bags. Please advise.
While driving home from a wedding reception at 10:00 pm lights suddenly went out . Pulled over to side of road and tried all modes of lights operation (automatic, parking and regular lighting mode). Trying dims and high beams both. Finally got lights to work if I held dimmer switch in pulled position untill reaching home. Looking on internt found out that this is an ongoing problem with crown vics. Failure in lighting control moduel. Still need some sort of repair.
Lights failed when driving down dark freeway, nearly drove off road, stopped car, heard click and lights came back on, but a few minutes later, went off again. As I drive down the road I hear a click and then they come back on, but more minutes they go off again, continual intermittent on/off. This occurs when the lights are in headlamp setting, or autolamp control, lights don't work when in this condition in high beams. Fortunately they are working when held toward steering wheel in flash-to-pass, so have been holding the lights on this way for months. From what I've read, this is an ongoing continual problem with this vehicle. I'm surprised there have been no reports of accidents or death, but it's a hard issue to identify as it's inconsistent, and if someone was reported as 'loosing control of their vehicle', it could be loss of lights causing them to run off the road. Read how to do a quick resolution by kicking the lcm under the dash, which sometimes does cause the lights to come back on. Also, have seen a youtube video from a mechanic that shows how to solder on new relays to the computer panel, which fixes the issue for $15. 00, which I've considered doing myself as a replacement unit is upwards of $400. 00. This needs to be a recall issue!!!.
Head lamps intermittently turn on and off for extended periods of time when driving at night. Faulty lighting control module.
Head lights went out without warning and will not come back on. Fuse is not blown.
Headlights would not turn on, stranding me overnight. Headlights non-operational when set to auto, manual, or high beams. All other lights worked fine (parking lights, interior lights, brake lights). Took car in to Ford dealership for diagnostic. They found a non-operational lighting control module (lcm). I approved replacement with new Ford lcm (part # 5w7z-13c788-ac). The repair bill was $860. 22 + sales tax ($577. 72 for the part, $282. 50 for labor).
Headlights go out without warning while driving. Must pull & hold dimmer lever to engage "bright" lights to have any illumination of the street.
2005 Ford Crown Victoria p71. Low beam headlights turn off while driving. Hi beam lights will work when the low beam lights are out. Light control module is believed to be the cause.
Head light high and low beams go out. Occurs intermittently and for extended times. Installed new lighting control module. The old module had a poor soldered relay. The board was darkened from the heat buildup.
