2 Other Fuel System problem of the 2011 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 07/24/2017

I started getting a check fuel inlet warning occasionally and then my check engine light came on so I took the vehicle in for service. I was informed that the canister purge valve was faulty and was in need of replacement at the cost of $341. As it were my 2010 Ford fusion has the very same part being replace as part of a safety recall. I noted this to both my Ford dealer and Ford customer service but I am still responsible for the repair. My question is why it's a safety recall in one instance but an owners responsibility in another.

4 Other Fuel System problem of the 2016 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 04/27/2016

My 2016 f150 company vehicle suddenly slowed to a crawl, and I had to tow it to the dealer. The dealer says that the electronic throttle body (etb) needs to be replaced. Problem is the there were dozens of other vehicles in the dealership with same problem, and the part is in back order. This is a brand new vehicle!! it will take at least 2 weeks to get the part according to the dealer. . . . Wow!! I read online that back in 2012 similar problems were investigated by NHTSA, and Ford "agreed" to replace the part on 1. 6mm vehicles, and declared the problem solved!! I think the problem is far from solved if it is happening to dozens of new vehicles in one dealership!! imagine the problem whole country wide and/or world wide. The problem was not even called a recall in 2012! my company now has to rent a vehicle until a replacement part is shipped. They say 2 weeks, probably more time since it is their estimate!! this issue has to be investigated.

9 Other Fuel System problem of the 2012 Ford E-150

Failure Date: 06/10/2013

While trying to pass another vehicle during wet weather , my vehicle would loose engine power at a critical moment during passing. Ford dealer could find no problem. Loss of power happened more than one time while passing. After about one year of service I traded vehicle off. . . . Not liking the passing performance during wet weather. Then found out that this is a problem with many f150 ecoboost engines. I believe this is a serious issue. Thanks, wl.
