Wheel Problems of Ford E-250

On 3/17/2014 we had 4 2-lt225/75r16e ht 701 115s bw sentinel installed on our van by big brand tire & service in lompoc CA. These tires are rated for 50,000 miles. We have driven about 13,000 miles. On 8/6/2020 we were driving from wa to southern CA. The right rear tire started going flat while driving. We had aaa install the spare and we continued on our trip. About 200 miles later the van started shaking very badly. We were on i5 in the middle of the CA desert. Using our phone we found a tire shop about 50 miles away. We manage to limp our way to the tire shop. They said the the tread was separating. We had all four bran new tires installed. I have been unable to find any contact information for the sentinel tire manufacturer. These tires are dangerous and should be recalled. We are very lucky, this could have ended in a catastrophe. We would like to find contact info for the manufacturer to try and get some compensation.

Last week I received notice from michelin north America that my claim I presented in writing on may 18 had been denied. I filed the claim because I had my warranty tire exploded on my cargo van resulting in about $5000. In damages. Michelin representative ritch townsend says that I at some point I hit something splitting the inner liner that over time caused the tread detachment. This did not happen! I am the only person that has drove this van with just 33,000. Miles. Area attorney's with defective tire litigation experience are personal "injury attorney's". No injury; no interest! this large tire manufacturer will not take responsibility for their defective tire until they are forced under judgement and then likely only after people have lost their lives! on 05/10/16 I was southbound in clearwater FL on hwy 19 when I heard a sudden explosion. Being in the furthermost right driving lane I pulled off onto the emergency lane at 12600 hwy 19. I found that the right rear tire had completely come apart and had badly beaten the rear panel of my van. After putting the spare tire on and getting back home I contacted michelin consumer care and was told to take the tire to tire kingdom in dunedin for evaluation. The manager at this store in turn also talked to the michelin representative explaining the tire was under warranty and the tread has detached. An offer was made at that time to replace the tire but I would have to leave the tire; my evidence of the cause of the vehicle damage. I declined the offer electing for the michelin claims process. As requested I sent the defective tire to michelin for a non-destructive test of the tire and requested that the tire be returned to me after inspection and I have since received the tire back in dunedin. I am convinced this tire tells a tale that will go unnoticed because nobody lost their life yet.

Vehicle had four new tires all of same brand and size one of the tires had a blow out, replaced the tire with new tire of same brand and size. One week later another tire started vibrating so we took it in and they checked it and found the tread is separating from the carcass. I had them pull all four tires and replace with new tires of different brand. I kept the four tires and checked for any recalls. This particular tire does not have a recall yet but another similar does. The tires we have are the hankook dynapro as lt245/75r16 the tire they have recalled is hankook dynapro mt lt325/60r18. Hankook says they will only warrant the one tire showing separation but will not do anything about the first one because we don't have in our possession or the other three because they have not failed yet.

I was driving in the rain going 45 and as I was heading downhill I attempted to slow down. The vehicle began to hydroplane and I could not control the direction I was going. I ran front first into a guardrail and my van flipped over and rolled. The air bags never deployed and the vehicle was totaled.

My son was driving home when the back wheels locked-up and started to skid. He called the police and the officer said he could see where it look like that's what happened and there were three other witnesses to what had happened. My husband feels this is what happened to him a couple of months ago. I am waiting to see if you are willing to pay for me to take my vehicle to a dealership to be checked out.
