Two problems related to steering gear box have been reported for the 1998 Ford E-350. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Bolt broken that holds the steering gear box and the smell from the heater makes you sick.
The steering gear box has a loose spot in it. While on the road if a bump or hole is hit the vehicle will jerk out of control and wander. The steering gear box has been replaced three times and problem still exist. Dealer has been contacted and claims they can do nothing more for it. Vehicl was delivered from the factory with this defect.
