Two problems related to side/window air bag have been reported for the 2003 Ford E-550. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Our 2003 Ford expedition was involved in a one vehicle accident. The impact was on the entire passenger side and frontal impact. The vehicle was labeled a total loss. Neither the drivers side nor passenger side airbags deployed.
The passenger side airbag on our 2003 Ford ranger XLT failed to operate in such a manner, during a collision, to prevent a head injury to my wife. Neither the airbag nor the seat belt retarder kept her from striking her head on the rear view mirror and dislodging the mirror from the window.
