One problem related to automatic transmission park/neutral start switch has been reported for the 1996 Ford Econoline. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While pulling over to change drivers vehicle was placed in park, as the driver exited vehicle jumped into gear, causing the door to knock the driver under the vehicle. Driver broke right ankle and leg, and suffered minor injuries on left ankle. Dealer has not been contacted.
