Our street needs a speed bump on 42nd Ave s between findley and orcas. There are many children and cars go too fast.
1996 Ford Econoline van was parked on my property. It started on fire which spread so quickly that the whole van was burnt before the fire department arrived. The fire department believes the fire started on the driver's side towards the front of the vehicle but can not determine what started it although we are still waiting for their report. This van was not parked near anything flammable nor was there anything flammable in the van. The fire was so hot the windshield melted. We now have no van and no explanation of why it would start on fire. The sheriff's department said they would not take a report unless the fire department suspects arson.
1997 Ford Econoline e-150 van. Spare tire stored underneath body of van, suspended by thin metallic cable. Cable snapped, allowing tire and two metal bracket pieces to fall onto road surface. Luckily I was only doing 2-3 mph in a parking lot. Had I been on a street or freeway at a higher speed, considerable damage and possible injuries/fatalities could have resulted.
Paint peeling off van roof because of inferior primer according to body shop. No safety defect listed in the summary.
Consumer installed lift equipment, however the lift installation caused the steering column to become too close to the consumer, possible injury if air bag deploys, design of the equipment does not fit properly in the vehicle.
