Front Suspension Problems of Ford Econoline

Dealer unable to align front end. Been in / out of dealer shop on four occasions, and unablle to correct the problem. Feel free to provide any further information on this matter.

While driving vehicle and when going over any bumps, vehicle rocks/wanders to right or left in which consumer may lose control. Dealer cannot determine problem. Please provide further information.

Constant misalignment causes vehicle to veer to the right while driving. Steering wheel is still extremely loose when making a right or left turn. Dealer states there is nothing that can be done.

When driving at highway speed consumer noticed vibration coming from front end. Also, excessive wear of front tires. Consumer has contacted dealer. Please provide any further details.

Vehicle tracks in a slightly sideways or "doggie" manner while driving at highway speed. Front alignment has been checked with no change. Vehicle tracks in same way whether loaded or empty of weight. Vehicle can be videotaped and easily seen of the problem. . Also I have noticed a number of other Econolines of same year driving in the same way. Lord only knows how many of these vehicles are out there on the highway. This problem can easily place the vhicle in a skid if driven on a slippery or icey roadway since the vehicle is trying to basically go in 2 directions at the same time. Please reply with any suggestions, help, or guidance. My inquiry to my dealer was pretty much a waste of time.

Vehicle was equipped with non adjustable camber bushings, causing outer tire wear in the front tires.

Michelin ltx tire experienced excessive outer tire wear due to the non adjustable camber sleeves, dealer replaced with adjustable ones and the problem no longer exists.
