In making a right hand turn, the steering wheel became uncontrollable and impossible to straighten out causing the vehicle to continue in its turning radius and crash into a sign on the sidewalk. The vehicle was transported to a salvage yard. I am of the belief that the ball joint failed. We have always maintained the car at Ford authorized dealerships and even replaced the ball joints recently. This car has a propensity for failing ball joints.
