1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/20/2022

Fuel tank leaking at spot welds and mounting points. Fuel tank recall performed [xxx] @ 54,758 miles. We purchased the vehicle from a Ford dealer in alpena mi dean arbour Ford in August of 2018. I have contacted this dealer about this issue as well as the customer care center of Ford motor company. All tell me they only had a 2 year warranty on the repair. My concern is the recall was performed but did not fix this issue due to the same situation is happening with-in the same amount of time from manufacture date to the date of the original recall. They did not rectify the safety concern from the original recall they just replaced with the same style tank knowing it would fail again. Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

It started stalling, and losing power while driving. When the ac is turned on it started driving rough at low speeds but when the ac is off it runs rough at high speeds. The throttle body seems to beessed up it now runs rough and idles rough. It's almost like it doesn't have the correct fuel to air ratio.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/26/2018

"takata recall" I have been calling since June to get my car repaired. I was given a case number and then never contacted. I have called the 2 dealerships in colorado springs and was told they would get me in a rental car and yet they never have. I have called them every week and continue to get the same response stating they are working on it. I have called Ford motor since June as well and get the exact same response. The airbag light on the vehicle is now on and I have a child that I will not put in this car as it has a recall on it. I have told the dealership about the light and they stated they will contact me when a rental is available.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 10/01/2017

I received a letter from Ford about Nov/Dec 2017 advising me of the recall issues for my vehicle. I have not been able to speak to a Ford customer service rep, and my dealer nor the finance company know what to do. I received a more recent letter from Ford with options and stating that the parts required are still not available. I need to speak to someone because I am afraid of all the recall issues surrounding my vehicle. I keep the maintenance up on my vehicle but I have been experiencing safety issues while driving, like my vehicle threatens to stop for no apparent reason while I'm driving it. I can't afford to continually pay for repairs or even just be without my vehicle because I'm the only income for my family!.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 03/27/2017

Smell of gasoline fumes noted coming from vents when vehicle is idle. Has occurred on multiple occasions, at stop lights, when parked etc. Smell is obvious to anyone sitting in vehicle. Must keep window opened for ventilation. No smell noted when vehicle in motion.
