1 Power Steering Pump problem

Failure Date: 12/12/2011

Started noticing a vibration in steering at slow speeds when pulling into or out of parking spaces. Took to the dealer for repair at 34,000 miles a few weeks later and dealer at first could not duplicate the issue, then with my help identified it as a power steering pump and replaced. The next day, say issue and they then stated it was a normal characteristic of car model. Warranty has since expired and has gotten significantly worse and mileage is currently 49k as I am a sales rep and log a lot of miles. I also began getting a loud popping noise in the front from both sides at about 38k miles, predominantly left side, especially when making low speed turns and/or going over small bumps, like when entering or leaving a parking lot. I have not taken it to the dealer for inspection but have had a local midas check for an issue twice with nothing found, but issue is also getting much worse.
