The driver's seat has started coming forward during moderate to substantial braking, and backwards during similar acceleration.
Tl the contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. While driving at an unknown speed and attempting to stop abruptly, the front driver's seat fractured, fell forward, backwards, and then layed down flat. The vehicle was taken to mike brown Ford (866-562-7500, located at 4950 e u. S. Hwy 377, granbury, TX 76049) where it was diagnosed that the bottom of the seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,000.
Door indicator light stay on interior lights stay on indicating that the driver side door is open when door is shut. Lights pop on at any rate of speed scary and extremely dangerous passenger side seat doesn't move at all sometimes the whole screen will go a dime white and blank during any rate of speed. Extremely dangerous.
On June 24, 2015 the dealership service department had to replace the seat track on the drivers side. It was stuck in the up position and would grind when you tried to move it with the power switch. Now 2/1/2018 the drivers side seat is not secure and it rocks when you accelerate and braking. Ford service department informed me today that the track needs to be replaced again. Cost to me would be $1,640. 00. A quick scan of the "Ford Edge forum" indicated at least 18 reports of the same problem. To me this is a serious safety concern and should be fixed by the Ford motor company. I spoke with Ford's customer relations department this morning 2/1/2018 and they assigned a case number and will let me know what Ford will do provide assistance in the repair of this problem. A solution by Ford should be found and a recall should go out to fix this problem once and for all.
The front seat is tight and had a dealer to check that but when u accelerate the seat jumps backwords and when you brake the seat jumps forwards. The seat track is bad. After reading online alot of people are having this issue.
We have had a problem with our Ford Edge going into limp mode while driving. Luckily it has been at low speeds so we were able to pull over and turn off vehicle. Il when this problem happens, it idles very roughly and it like it loses its mind. You cannot accelerate and a wrench pops up on the dash. When you turn off veichle and turn it back on, it's fine.
The driver's side door sensor is not reading that the door is closed and remains on. This is the second time in a year that I am going to have the sensor replaced.
When accelerating, you can feel the drivers and/or passenger front seat shift backward. When stopping, you can feel the drivers and/or passenger front seat shift forward. I have questioned this at the dealership without resolution. I can't find anything that will allow me to tighten down the seats. I don't feel this extra play in the seat is safe in the event of a wreck.
Drivers seat rocks back and forth during acellerating and decellerating at speeds. Creates an unexpected action that causes disorentation during driving. Can cause an accident.
