The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that on numerous occasions the door ajar warning light intermittently illuminated while all the doors were properly closed. The contact then stated that the navigation system and the rear-view camera intermittently displayed a distorted or a blank screen. Additionally, the contact stated that the theft system alarm started to malfunction and inadvertently activated. As a result, the battery failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the open-door sensor circuit failed, and the door latch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. 2 Latches/locks/linkage problem

Failure Date: 03/22/2019

The contact owns a 2012 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the front driver's side and passenger's side door latches failed to close the doors securely; causing the interior cabin light to remain illuminated.
