The contact owns a 2014 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, the sunroof unexpectedly exploded. The contact stated that there was no impact to the sunroof to have caused the sunroof glass to explode. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to file a complaint with the NHTSA hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 152,000.
