36 Body problem

Failure Date: 11/09/2017

The panoramic sunroof has developed a crack. A simple google search will show this is a common problem with this year. According to the dealer, the crack was caused by an impact. I am not able to see any impact damage. These windows are supposed to be stronger than steel. If I have to worry about a 200lb glass roof collapsing on top of me, that needs to be fixed. For refuses to acknowledge this as a defect and puts it off on the consumer. A safety recall should be issued.

37 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2017

After owning my car for only 16 months, the panoramic sunroof on my 2015 Ford Edge titanium cracked completely down the length as well as across the width of the entire roof. Neither the car nor roof had not been struck by anything - it was very obviously a stress fractures. It was a warm sunny spring day, and the car had been just sitting in front of my house. When I drew back the sunroof shade, I saw the roof completely cracked side to side and front to back. I very carefully drove to my Ford dealership. The service department insisted that a rock or something hit it and refused to do anything to help replace it. I had to have a body shop replace the sunroof and my insurance company covered remaining $800 of the $1300 cost after I paid the $500 deductible. My auto insurance has now gone up several hundred dollars because they considered it an "accident" which it was not! this is obviously a manufacturing defect which very worries me that the replacement roof will be also likely to break. There was definitely no impact but Ford refused to acknowledge any responsibility - this is criminal.

Rear doors freeze shut trapping rear seat riders. This has happened many times on this car here in northern minnesota. Have taken car to dealer three times with the doors frozen. They have done all they can to repair this including modifying the car at my cost. Ford has not responded with any help, our dealer has no idea what more they can do, but has told us we are not alone with this problem. It happens anytime we have slush on the roads and the temp. Is below 32 degrees.

39 Body problem

Failure Date: 02/08/2017

I noticed a spot that was about an inch long on the rear hatch back glass where the defroster grid appeared to be delaminated. Later that evening, I was on my way to work. The temperature was below freezing. I was driving about 35 mph on a country road because the roads were icy. There was no traffic on the road other than myself. I allowed the car to warm up with the rear defroster on for about two minutes prior to my trip. About a mile up the road, the rear hatch back glass exploded. A section about 8" by 6" was blown out away from the vehicle, with the rest of the glass broken but remaining in place. The section of the window that was blown out was the same area where I had seen the delamination earlier that day.

40 Body problem

Failure Date: 06/02/2016

The rear tail light on the 2015 Ford Edge sel has developed cracks which leak and cause condensation and water to build up inside the tail light. This creates the potential for a electrical short or fire.

41 Body problem

Failure Date: 05/25/2016

The vista roof is slow to close and will reopen mid close with out warning. Ford has looked at it and said it was a lube problem and keep lubing the track but it keeps happening.

42 Body problem

Failure Date: 04/02/2016

Rear passenger door is off set from the frame. Ford said there was nothing wrong. As you can see in the photo, the door and frame don't line up. It has been like this since I got it.

43 Body problem

Failure Date: 02/29/2016

The door seals are not working. We have white particles and road dirt inside of the vehicle since the day we started driving it. We are getting headaches and coughing a lot if we are in the vehicle for more than a few minutes.

44 Body problem

Failure Date: 02/28/2016

From the date we bought our Ford Edge we have had white particles, dust and dirt coming in from all of the door seals and rear back hatch. The white particles are all through the vehicle. There is a brown dust or dirt on the top of the passenger seat and rear passenger seat and on the head rests for both seats. The dirt and dust makes me cough a lot, ( no one has ever smoked in the car ). It feels like we are inside of a vacuum cleaner disposable bag. We believe none of the seals on any of the doors work properly. When we first got the car, a burning smell was coming from the passenger side of the vehicle. A new exhaust system was put on the car a month after we bought it. That problem with the burning smell went away. We were told by the fourth dealership that we took the vehicle to that all the seals on the doors and back hatch would have to be replaced, but that never came about. So here we sit with all the white dust and dirt. We believe the cabin filters are not working. So the dust and the dirt are also coming in through all of the vents in the vehicle.

The driver side carpeting has nothing to hold up the Edge/top of the carpet above the dead-pedal and obdii port. The carpet has been slowly falling down and replaced once under warranty by Ford. This has not fixed the issue with the top falling down. This can cause serious interference with the driver's feet while operating the pedals. Already there is barely enough room for my foot to rest on the dead pedal already (size 9) without hitting items above the dead-pedal not to mention adding the worry and dangerous falling carpet on the the driver's foot. Ford needs to revisit this and create some attachments to hold the top of the carpet up.
