The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. While driving 65 mph, there was an abnormal cracking noise and the panoramic moon roof had spider cracks without warning. The contact called Ford of branford (301 e main st, branford, CT 06405) and was informed that they did not repair panoramic glass. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the glass was replaced on may 17, 2017 with the failure mileage at 2,400. Additionally, while driving 65 mph on November 18, 2017, there was an abnormal popping noise and the sun roof cracked again. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and was informed that the glass was on backorder. The manufacturer was not notified of the issue. The recent failure mileage was 8,800.
