1 Tail Light problem

Failure Date: 02/17/2022

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated that the rear view tail lights had condensation building up on the inside of the light. The contact contacted the dealer who confirmed the issue and that it was common. The dealer stated the entire panel where the rear lamps were located needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.

2 Tail Light problem

Failure Date: 01/30/2022

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact became aware of condensation inside the rear taillight assembly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
