The contact owns a 2018 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 mph a vibration was heard and felt coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The contact stated that the vibration was intermittent, however when the vehicle would run over a bump or rough patch on the road surface the vehicle rear end would begin sway as if it were hydroplaning. The contact stated that the feeling of loss of control would be worse if the "lane assist" had been activated. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 36,000.
