Xxx, I parked my Edge car around 11am. I always put the car into park mode before turning off vehicle! the road was flat, good weather and had no previous issues/warnings. I went into building. My gray Ford Edge 2020 st with 105,000. Miles is a wonderful vehicle! I came out of appointment about an hour later and my Edge had rolled backwards 6 to 8 feet! it almost hit another vehicle, parked behind my car! I immediately took my car to local Ford dealership service, baugh Ford, [xxx]. I was told I needed to pay 1500 dollars for the vehicle to be taken apart to get an estimate of what needed to be fixed? I don’t have 1500 dollars to just give to Ford service for them to look online and find what other years and other Ford models have had with this exactly same safety recall! this is a huge safety issue and Ford does not want to fix because this is a vehicle that I paid off in 7 years, have been only driver and never been in any accidents! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
I keep getting a dash alert that the trailer is connected when I don't have a trailer hooked up along with a messege that states blind spot &cross traffic alert deactivated, trailer attatched. This occurred on several different occasions within several weeks.
Brake pedal dropped to floor when applied slight pressure to slow from 30mph to 20 mph, then the car surged no brakes. I finally got car to stop by putting in neutral and engaging emergency brake.
When backing up in the morning the brakes squeak and the camera goes blank when turning on the car or backing up and collision warning is coming on when no collision. And the car jerks when sitting at light, stop sign etc. According to your records this vehicle has no recalls please check your records and get back to me.
Waiting in line at drive through and had my foot on the brake and my car surged forward hitting the car in front of me and they hit the car in front of them. I found no recall on my 2020 Edge titanium but this surge has happened before.
I was driving in stop and go traffic for several minutes. When we would move forward it would only be for 1 car length. I stopped, and when the engine turned back on from the auto start/stop, the car lurched forward and hit the car in front of me. I still had my foot on the break. At first I thought I had been hit from behind, because I had my foot on the break. I have seen 2 other complaints similar to mine, however, they did not result in an accident.
