The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35–40 mph with her two daughters' occupying the rear seat, they heard an abnormal sound of water in the vehicle. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was able to determine that the abnormal noise was caused by the fuel in the fuel tank swishing. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The manufacturer referred her to NHTSA. The failure mileage was approximately 25.
