Wow, vehicle is in park and idling. My traction control light comes on then my brakes go all the way to the floor. It has done about six times so far.
Driving home, I entered my neighborhood and stopped to check my mail; I put my vehicle in park retrieved my mail and began to reverse out of the parking space, doing so the monitor screen flickered then a message came on the screen saying contact manufacturer camera unavailable. I then proceeded to put the car in drive and the message disappeared and the camera came back online. As I entered my driveway I put my car in park then reverse again and things were normal. This morning as I was backing out of my driveway the camera went black as well as no warning alarm or notification that I was approaching an individual and a few kids walking somewhat directly behind me, nearly hitting them. The last incident of the back up camera not working was this morning when I was nearly hit by oncoming traffic in the parking garage as I was trying to pull into a parking space and correct my position. These recent incidents have definitely put both my safety and that of my family in considerable risk as well as children in the neighborhood and at school. System failure: the back up camera risk: children and adults could have been seriously injured replacement: no the dealer has not been contacted as of yet 5/15/2024 vehicle inspection: none since purchase in 2019 warnings or messages: contact your manufacturer camera not available: 5/12/2024.
Have a 2011 Ford Edge limited purchased new from a local Ford dealer. Seems like Ford has had issues with the backup cameras in all models that cameras have been available since 2007, have resisted and continues not to issue a safety recall. Since 2018 NHTSA have required backup cameras as safety equipment in all vehicles. This camera issues is definitely a safety issue. Ford and its dealer will not addressed it unless they charge and excessive amount for the repair running the gamut from $100 to $800 which may or may not correct the problem. Nhtsa needs to require and mandate that the Ford motor CO declared this as a safety recall issue and correct the problem. All their vehicles, new or old, have been having problems with this backup camera safety equipment.
Brakes making air noise when pressed on.
Engine replaced for the first time on October 2023 and a second time new engine again in Nov. 2023 this is wrong!!.
I just brought my car in to my Ford dealership to have an oil change and tires rotated. They are the only ones that service my car. I was told they could not rotate my tires as my lug nuts were swollen. I'm told that the extended warranty that I bought from Ford will not cover that. Now I'm going to be out 110. 00 or they won't rotate my tires and was told that I may not be able to get my tire off if I get a flat.
Purchased a duralast battery from autozone store #1299 in hialeah in August 3rd and installed it. The staff was insistent that this battery was a direct replacement part for my lead acid battery. The car drove normally for approximately a month, and on the morning of September 6th started normally with no warning lights. After being driven less than a quarter mile, in slow-moving traffic, the car suddenly lost all power and large amounts of smoke came from under the hood accompanied by a burning smell. This happened in an intersection during 830 am traffic on a weekday and I was unable to immediately exit the vehicle. This could have been a fatal incident for myself or potentially others. It was towed to a mechanic who started disassembling it to determine the damages. As per the mechanic, there is evidence of an electrical fire - the cables connected to the battery have melted and the alternator (which was tested and installed brand new less than 2 years ago) are damaged. The mechanics have also stated that the fans and cooling system have been affected, but not to what extent as they are still mid-teardown. When they attempted to put a load on the battery, it began to overheat dangerously, and they state that it is the likely culprit of the fire. I attempted to return the battery to the store I had purchased it at, where the staff were verbally abusive and insisting that it was impossible for a battery to cause an electrical fire and they'd never heard of such a thing, and that perhaps my mechanic was the one who had messed up my car. They refused to aceept a return, and kept telling me the battery was good. They provided me with a area manager phone number who is avoiding all communication. Meanwhile, I am without my vehicle, which requires extensive electrical repairs and may be a total loss. If they are selling defective batteries to clients, they are putting the public at risk, doubly so by refusing to take any sort of accountability for their product.
Screen just went black and remains black. Bluetooth, radio, back up camera, hands free, navigation do not work. Has been almost 70 days. Went off one other time when performing system maintenance but came on immediately after complete. Garage advises apim is junk. A new one is 600 to 2000.
We were turning a corner at a light and our tie-rod, axel, control arm, sway bar link and cv shaft all broke at once causing our car to come to a dead stop in the road and we could not even push it out of the road, we were able to purchase the cv shaft, control arm asy, and the sway bar lnk. For the one side the car is still not moveable we need a tire that we cant afford and from the looks of it the other side may do the same and the part that worries me about our safety is that is it does it on the freeway and we come to a dead stop in traffic or something it will be bad. What we need and I was told that if my car showed up on the recall list for any reason that you would fix any safety issues free of charge and my car did come up on the list. I just purchased the vehicle in November 2020 and was told all the original parts are still on it. Please let me know where to go to get my car fixed this is our only means of transportation to go to school for me and my kids and for my husband to find a job thank you. What we need is a tire for the front passenger side and the driver side fixed ASAP.
