I want to know why there has been no remedy for the 23v380 recall. A remedy was anticipated in October 2023. Also, I got notice of a new recall Ford campaign #23e09 regarding reprogramming the pcm for emissions. When I enter 23e09 on your web site it takes me to the 23v380 recall. Are they related? either way Ford is still saying there is no remedy yet for either.

The owner of this vehicle is forced to operate the vehicle with the risk of catastrophic engine failure and subsequent fire. It is a major safety concern.

I purchased this 2022 Ford Escape plug-in hybrid vehicle new in October 2022. In may 2023 I received a recall notice 23s27 / NHTSA recall 23v380 from Ford motor company. According to this recall notice, the parts for the repair to the engine were expected to be available in October 2023. I have not received any further communication from Ford motor company regarding this recall and it is now November 2023. This exceeds a reasonable time to expect repair of this defect. In addition, entering my vehicle information into the kelley blue book web site showed that there are 6 recalls associated with my vehicle. However, entering the VIN number (absolutely correctly) at this NHTSA web site yields: "an error occurred with your request. Recall information for your vehicle is not available at this time. . This vehicle has had the same recall for under hood fire risk two or three times. I have taken it in for all recalls but this one cannot be resolved. I contacted Ford in October and asked for help. I cannot get it fixed, I cannot sell the vehicle and now I’m scared to continue driving it. Ford refused to buy it back and I feel this has gone in long enough. Please help me fight Ford and get this resolved! thank you.
We were driving on the interstate and the car began to make a metallic clicking/ticking sound. We started to move to the shoulder as we thought it might be a tire issue when we saw an orange glow reflected on the concrete. As soon as we reached the shoulder the engine started pouring out smoke and we immediately left the car. We opened the hood and saw fire inside the engine compartment. We left the hood up and moved away from the car and called 911. It appears this issue is tied to a known, open recall for which Ford has not released any information on how to fix with no specific timeline in place to release the fix. Our safety was at risk as the car was on fire and we were standing on the side of an interstate at midnight not knowing if the fire was going to go out or the car was going to explode; luckily for us it went out. The vehicle is currently at a Ford dealership for inspection. There was an engine service warning immediately before we heard the clicking noise but that is the first notification of any issue.

This recall has been out since may 26, 2023. This is a potentially dangerous situation. I am a 79 year old widower and my Ford Escape is my only means of transportation. If I were to have an engine fire I would be in trouble! why is it almost a year and Ford cannot fix this problem? any assistance that you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, joe hobart.
I want to hold Ford accountable for recall 23s27. Ford continues to miss their own planned dates to come up with a solution. I want them to buy back their lemon at fair trade-in value per kbb, which is $30,500. This reminds me of the Ford pinto fiasco many years ago. Thanks, richard meyer.
