Two problems related to conventional parking brake have been reported for the 1998 Ford Escort. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While vehicle was parked in an uphill position with emergency brake on, vehicle rolled down the hill and hit a tree.
Vechicle was parked on a hill in an incline position and emergency brake was in a upright position, vechicle rolled down the hill and hit a tree.
