While applying the accelerator pedal vehicle failed to accelerate. After applying the accelerator pedal numerous times vehicle accelerated uncontrollably. Consumer noticed that the accelerator pedal was stuck. Consumer was able to maintain control of the vehicle, and drove it to the dealer for inspection. Mechanic determined that the throttle body needed to be replaced.
While driving in bumper to bumper traffic would let go accelerator and vehicle will not decelerate, and speed will continue. Dealer had been contacted, and they said that it was normal on this make/ model and year vehicle. Please provide more information.
While at a stop sign proceeded to go and vehicle hesitated. Then, when pressing gas pedal, vehicle accelerated very slowly, and was rear ended by another vehicle. Currently, vehicle at dealer's being serviced. Please provide any further infomation. Dealer stated all these model vehicles perform this way, possible design flaw. Nlm.
