Hood latch mechanism does not properly latch which could cause hood to fly up while vehicle is being driven. The cable to the hood release is the problem.
While driving home from work at 65 mph, both hood latch and safety latch failed allowing hood to open and wrap over the top of the car.
While traveling at 69mph hood attempted to pop & was caught by a secondary latch. Consumer was unable to close latch, and it would not release by pulling cable. But could pull it up by hand. Dealer will repair hood at consumer's cost & deductible.
