On August 15th I drove my 2001 Ford Excursion to get a haircut in the morning. Then on the way back I stopped at little ceasers pizza for my kids. Soon after that I came home and parked my 2001 Excursion in my back yard. About twenty minutes later I check on my kids and I saw smoke coming from the hood of my Excursion. Soon after that I saw fire and the whole Excursion was up in flames. My car was parked and locked therer was no fire or smoke when I locked the vehicle and came in the house. The vehicle is totaled. I got a recall notice on Thursday of last week but the notice was not an emergency it just said call your local Ford dealer when you get a chance to have this taken care of. They never said your truck can catch on fire and maybe burn your house down.
